CloneWell™
Are you a 'gel-slicer' – cutting DNA bands from agarose gels, then spinning them down columns until they are clean enough to clone? Well, CloneWell changes this game forever… Just load 25 microliters of your sample in an upper row well, watch it migrate, add some water to the bottom well and… yes, your band swims happily in the liquid, waiting to be picked up.
Using CloneWell, your DNA is never exposed to mutagenic UV, and your work couldn't be safer and cleaner – no gels to open, no scalpel to cut the gel, no tedious spin-columns. Once complete, the band is trapped in the well to be collected by pipette. And do not worry, even if slightly overshooting the well, you can then use the Reverse mode of the iBase system to put your band back where it belongs… Finally, cloning efficiency is enhanced thanks to the clean and mutation-free DNA extracted from the well.
